Dark Mirrors by Siobháin Bunni

A missing husband........and a journey towards the truth about a man she never knew

When the story opens, we meet Esmée Meyers whom is married and has 2 children.  Her relationship with her husband Philip leaves alot to be desired.  To him, Esmée is no more than a housekeeper, childminder and cleaner. Esmée is convinced that her husband is having an affair she plans to leave him but then he disappears without a trace leaving his car on a clifftop.  No body is found but the police conclude he's committed suicide but Esmée thinks otherwise.  Has he really disappeared off the face of the earth or is there something more sinister and much darker to all of this?

I really liked this novel, it is very well written in terms of suspense and it had me gripped at the start, however I felt it dipped slightly in the middle but once it picked up again, I couldn't put it down or turn the pages fast enough, it was full of twists and turns.  I would recommend this if you're looking for a good thriller and it's set in Ireland.  This is Siobhán's first novel and I look forward to reading more of the authors work.

Dark Mirrors is available on Kindle and in all good bookstores.
